Switch Plate – Fire Cooked Single Switch Cover Plate – Blacksmith Forged

This is a single gang wall plate with an opening for one standard switch.

The unique “Fire Cooked” texture is the result of repeated heating in the gas forge during the forging process. This heating results in the formation of high temperature oxidation (or “scale”) and light pitting on the piece. Wire brushing then removes the loose scale and reveals the unique organic texture below. The switch plate is then painted with clear enamel for long life and durability (I also offer low and no v.o.c. finishes which require a bit more maintenance upon request)

The fourth image shows what the finish will look like in different temperature light*. 3000K being akin to warm incandescent lights and 6000K similar to the light from a bright overcast sky.

My single gang wall plates measure 3″ wide x 4 7/8″ tall, and are recessed 3/16″ to fit flush against your wall.

All switch plates come with the appropriate number of matching finish screws.
