Light pull Metallic blue and blue ivory glass approx 70mm long

This is a handcrafted glass light pull or a pull for blinds, made with opaque ivory glass which has been premixed with a blue opaque glass and a blue glass which has silver in it. In the flame the silver rich glass develops a faint metallic shine, in this case mostly blues, purple and gold.

The pull was made on a steel mandrel (which forms the hole) which is 3mm in diameter at the top of the light pull and 5mm diameter at the bottom so the knot of the string for the pull slips neatly inside the hole so you don’t see it. I use a bench mounted propane and oxygen mix torch to melt my glass and then it is put into a digitally controlled kiln overnight to cool slowly. The pull is approximately 70mm long and 20mm in diameter at it’s widest point.

My light pulls are generally shipped wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a turquoise organza bag and then placed in a bubblewrap envelope. For more information please don’t hesitate to contact me.
