Ingredients:
- 2 (6 oz / 170g) boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp (15ml) avocado oil
- 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp (2g) smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp (1g) garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp (1g) onion powder
- 1/4 tsp (1g) cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Place chicken breasts between parchment paper and pound the thickest part until the breast is a uniform thickness of about 3/4 inch.
- Use paper towels to pat the chicken extremely dry on all sides to ensure proper searing.
- Rub the avocado oil over the meat to act as a binder, then apply the salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Place the chicken in the basket in a single layer and cook for 6 minutes without flipping.
- Flip the breasts and cook for another 6-9 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Transfer the chicken to a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes to reach a final internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
