Ingredients:

  • 2 (6 oz / 170g) boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Place chicken breasts between parchment paper and pound the thickest part until the breast is a uniform thickness of about 3/4 inch.
  2. Use paper towels to pat the chicken extremely dry on all sides to ensure proper searing.
  3. Rub the avocado oil over the meat to act as a binder, then apply the salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper evenly.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Place the chicken in the basket in a single layer and cook for 6 minutes without flipping.
  6. Flip the breasts and cook for another 6-9 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Transfer the chicken to a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes to reach a final internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
