Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150g) brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp (30ml) milk
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
- 3/4 cup (130g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Place the flour in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the flour reaches 160°F (71°C) on an instant-read thermometer. Let it cool completely.
- Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together on medium-high until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until the base is smooth and glossy.
- Sift in the heat-treated flour and salt. Mix on low speed just until the flour disappears.
- Fold in the chocolate chips by hand until evenly distributed.
