Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken tenderloins
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken tenderloins completely dry with paper towels to ensure a proper sear.
- Toss the chicken in a mixing bowl with 1 tablespoon of avocado oil until glistening.
- Combine cornstarch, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning blend over the chicken and toss vigorously until coated in a thin, matte layer.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
- Air fry for 6 minutes, flip the tenders with tongs, and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes until deep golden-brown.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the thickest part of the chicken reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Transfer the chicken to a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute before serving.
