Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken tenderloins
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken tenderloins completely dry with paper towels to ensure a proper sear.
  2. Toss the chicken in a mixing bowl with 1 tablespoon of avocado oil until glistening.
  3. Combine cornstarch, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning blend over the chicken and toss vigorously until coated in a thin, matte layer.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  6. Air fry for 6 minutes, flip the tenders with tongs, and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes until deep golden-brown.
  7. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the thickest part of the chicken reaches 160°F (71°C).
  8. Transfer the chicken to a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute before serving.
